Morgan appeared in a documentary clip Safe Sex for Men and Women that addressed AIDS prevention and education. A portion of the profits was donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She also serves on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the chief fundraiser for other projects and also gave testimony on a Congressional panel on AIDS awareness. Morgan is on the board of Governors of APLA and Board of Directors of Amfar. Former Surgeon-General C. Everett Koop has requested her to be his substitute during AIDS occasions and has hosted an AIDS Awareness Special with news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have been on Nightline twice to discuss AIDS. Morgan won the Emmy Award for Diane English's special Murphy Brown episode that was written just for Morgan. The spring, she starred as Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. The summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The movie was created Von Zerneck/Sertner, and also included Cindy Williams & Marla Gibbs. Then she starred in Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also a part of a psychological suspense drama created exclusively by USA Network. This thriller received the highest reviews of all time for that network.
